About Us

Who We Are

We were founded in 1989 by Istrian women form the New York tri-state area. Our mission was to form an organization that will provide educational programs to women in order to live successfully in our new environment.

We promote Istrian culture and heritage by organizing various events to showcase our culture with Istrian music and food.

Our Mission

The Histria Association for Women is a venue for the exchange of information and a means of bringing forth education and information. We are strongly committed to fostering the culture and heritage of the Istrian Community and passing these values to our children and grandchildren.

Our goal is to keep our culture alive and share it with the world.
